Frequently Asked Questions?

How much will it cost for me to have my road treated with EarthBind100™?

There are many factors that influence the cost and include the immediately obvious ones such as the length and width of your roadway. Other factors such as the terrain, climactic conditions, the type of aggregate, and the amount of traffic on your road can impact how much product is needed and, of course, that will certainly impact the cost. How long will a treatment last on my road? Does it have to be re-applied often?

Generally, a treatment of EarthBind100™ will hold down dust and mud for about a year. It’s recommended that EarthBind100™ be applied annually for 3 to 4 years. The good news, though, is that each year, less product is required. After a good base is established treatment typically can be reduced to an as needed basis.

Do pets and children need to be inside during the application process?

EarthBind100™ is non-toxic, environmentally friendly, and releases minimal odor during the application process, so it’s totally safe for anyone to be outside as the product is being applied.

Do I need to be at home when you apply the EarthBind100™?

Yes, initially someone should be at home to ensure that the right area is treated, and that we don’t cover too much or too little. But we’re flexible, and can work around a time that’s convenient to you.

Does the product have to “cure” before it can be driven on?

You can drive over your road within 20 minutes after the product has been applied, and it will fully cure within 12 to 24 hours.

Is there only one time of year when EarthBind100™ can be applied?

EarthBind100™ can be applied anytime the road surface is above freezing. Generally, though, most applications occur in May, June, and July, as roads dry out and become dusty. If measurable rainfall is expected within 12-24 hours however, EarthBind100™ should not be applied, so we’ve learned, really well, how to read weather forecasts. And we use Grandma’s bum knee as a back-up to know when it’s going to rain.

Can I purchase the product from you and apply it on my own to save some money?

Certainly, if you have the equipment and the expertise, you can do that, and often, organizations such as municipal governments, highway construction companies, mines, and power plants do purchase EarthBind100™ and apply it on their own. However, most homeowners and homeowner associations find it so much more cost-effective for our company to apply it for you.
